RomanK
I hunted actively last three years and saw lot of sites with sometimes lot of fossils. I've never ever seen something like this last site. Never ever I've seen so many fossils in one place at the same time. I felt kind of "palaeoshock" for two reasons: I can own so much fossils but almost all of them just crashed in my fingers (very fragil specific rock). Main plant was a Lepidodendron. Not very good preservation but really lot of specimens! Edited October 15, 2011 by RomanK Roman http://s1143.photobu.../donbassfossil/

Auspex
It seems the shale at this site has more organic material than is usual; this might explain the brittleness. The seed fern stem is quite interesting! The seed fern stem is quite interesting! Thank you Auspex, yes, that was an operated mine lifted the "new or fresh" dead rock, I even got some problems with mine's guard . Each rock there contains the fossil plant. EACH! Edited October 15, 2011 by RomanK Roman http://s1143.photobu.../donbassfossil/
Auspex
The layer must have been right at the contact boundary with the coal; an interesting site! Rockin' Ric
Wow Roman! Nice finds, amazing detail that Lepidodendrons have...did not know there were so many different patterns. I like that 3D Calamite, it looks like it will pop out of the stone! Very nice! WELCOME TO ALL THE NEW MEMBERS! Fossildude19
Great finds as usual, Roman. Too bad they were all so fragile! I hope everything was smoothed over with the Guard! Hopefully more finds with no problems!
