Harry Pristis
Zygorhiza ? Tooth measures 2-1/2" long Eocene, 40 million years ago Taylor Co. Florida, USA It appears to be an archaeocete tooth, and Zygorhiza is the most common species in the Ocala Group limestone. You don't specify the size of the crown - length and width. I suspect that your 2-1/2" measurement is the height of the root and crown. http://pristis.wix.com/the-demijohn-page What seest thou else In the dark backward and abysm of time? ---Shakespeare, The Tempest
