jpevahouse
Attached three pictures at different angles, two different bones. The bones were found along the Mississippi River persumably in Tennessee north of Memphis. Ice age bones are often found washed onto gravel banks along the river. These bones have mineralization and are consistent with other ice age bones found in the area. Bones found in the same location are of bison, peccary, mastodon and horse. rejd
Can you give a bit more informatoin on them. Where they were found would help as well. paul-waxahachie
Both bones look like broken pieces of mammal hip bones to me.
RichW9090
They look to me to be either vertebral or cranial elements. Edited September 21, 2013 by RichW9090 The plural of "anecdote" is not "evidence".
