Curious fossilized wood !

The fossilized wood consists of two parts: a rough part and a shaped part. The shaped part has traces of black bands that surround on all sides . Looks like a prehistoric broken tool . Are there another explanation for this?

...Are there another explanation for this?

Yes, a simple one: mineral staining. There is no indication of wear or modification th indicate possible human use.
