Rowboater
Found in the low tide in the mud, near the Rappahannock river. Pictures were undecipherable so I've taken new ones. Do let me know if higher resolution pictures are needed.

Harry Pristis
It does resemble a horse proximal radius. Compare with this example and let us know what you think: http://pristis.wix.com/the-demijohn-page What seest thou else In the dark backward and abysm of time? ---Shakespeare, The Tempest
Rowboater
Hi, thanks for your help. It's clearly a proximal radius, and probably from a horse. It's a bit bigger than yours, about 90 mm across the joint face (I guess before cars, horses came in many models!) Interesting with lots of holes (blood vessels, nerve bundles?) near the joint face. Heavy with nice color and fibrous patterns. Will make a nice paperweight.
