The first picture is out of focus.

It may be a coral, but I can't tell from this pic.

I agree, the other one is a conglomerate pebble.

That first picture reminds me a lot of some of the rugose corals I find in Southern Ontario, but it is rather out of focus

I was going to guess that it is Asteroid JX34 2002, but I contacted NASA and they say it is still in orbit.

:D

It might be a fossil coral, but hard to tell.

I think there is only one rock, both sides shown. Picture 1 looks like may have shell fragments, but is still part of the conglomerate.

He uses the plural "these", so I think it is two objects.

As a side note, NASA has changed their phone number and it is now unlisted. I guess I have been calling them way too often. I should drive down there and talk to them in person. :)

It's not chumy, but i agree it could be a piece of what we call in french a poudinge : a conglomerate of pebbles.

I agree that the first one is probably a colonial coral, looks like a favositid.

I'm pretty sure the first one is a coral, probably tabulate as there's no sign of septa.

The pattern of polygonal cells including the occasional small square crops up in a few of them, including some Favosites.

This Michelinia has similar structure (Mississippian).
