Those teeth have interesting shapes to them! Great find! Hopefully someone on the forum will be able to help you identify these. Can you provide us with a location of where these were found? This may help in the identification.

These remind me of Peccary tooth but someone will hopefully be able to identify based on the location soon.

The second picture in the second post looks like the occlusal end of an Equus (horse) incisor.

Initially that's what I thought too but the bottom threw me... and the others I have have holes in the occlusal end, perhaps it's a juvenile?

Could someone elaborate on what the occlusal end is ? I looked it up and it says where a tooth meets another tooth in the jaw, so would that be the upper portion of the tooth on either side or is it the root end?

Does it help if i call the occlusal surface the "chewing surface"?

"Occlusal" refers to the surface of the tooth that is used for chewing or grinding. Overall, there are five surfaces to each tooth: Occlusal. Mesial - forward or front. Distal - behind towards the back of the mouth.

That makes it real clear! Thanks for the information. Much clearer than what I got from a search. I guess I wasn't paying close enough attention! I appreciate the added information too! Learning the terminology is important for me to understand what everyone is talking about.

Yeah that does! Sorry I went back and reread the definition and realized it was my error. I get to reading to fast and make receptive errors in judgment. Appreciate the correction!

Thank you. They're from eBay because I'm interested in buying some things and there's no info on what they are.
