Diagnosis from Jerzmanska 1968, p. 437: "Cristae inferiores of the precaudal part do not merge with cristae inferiores of the tail. The latter, however, join cristae mediae of the precaudal part. 16-18 rings in precaudal part and about 19 in tail. In caudal part - 8 rays."
