Missouri Conulariids
Hello! Here are some of Missouri's Conulariids I have collected in the past.
Conulariids are as of right now classified as Jellyfish but have had uncertain affinities in the past, they would attach themselves to a surface and feed on suspended matter in the water column and some possible predation. Interestingly enough they can be associated with calcium phosphate pearls and can have body damage from cartilagenous fish that would eat them along with other hard shelled invertebrates. Please enjoy these weird cnidarians!
All specimens I have found so far belong to Paraconularia and are Pennsylvanian in age.
Location: Missouri
Stratigraphy: Iola Formation (Paola Limestone member and Muncie Creek Shale member)

Mahatango Formation
Here is my collection of Mahatango material. This sub unit of the Hamilton group crops out in many places across Pennsylvania, becoming more siliter as you work west in the state (more shallow/closer to the shore). Most of my collecting has taken place in the Trilobite rich Centerfield Member, but I have also came across nice prone trilobites rarely in the Niss Hollow member, Beautiful and articulated echinoderms are able to be found in the Little Gap member, this has been the focus of my recent efforts in this unit.
