  10. "Twilight Zone", Sharktooth Hill, Bakersfield

there is a tendency to find bakersfield shark teeth fossils from certain zones where the teeth are preserved with sunset multicolors - primarily purple / violet / blue in the broader regions of the crown, and red / orange / yellow closer to sharp tips on the crown. although occurrence of purple shark teeth are common in this zone/spot, you can also find other colors preserved in teeth, including warmer color teeth like red, orange, pink, yellow teeth and also occasionally white and black teeth. i noticed there are some  STH  teeth that resemble this purple/blue-orange/yellow combo already out there, so this 'zone' is not only found at the spot i dig at, but appears elsewhere around bakersfield. as there are 'firezone' shark teeth currently floating around, i'd like to add to a new and fun distinction to shark teeth that embody multiple colors you would see on a sunset - 'twilight zone' teeth.

all fossils are found on private land surrounding sharktooth hill area.
