Early Jurassic Shuttle Meadow Fm.
Connecticut
The head, along with the pectoral, pelvic, anal, dorsal, and caudal fins, are all present.
Note the displaced scales extending from the back half of the fish.
Apparently, this area exploded during the release of decompositional gasses, prior to fossilization.
