Teeth from the dead zone

Foshunter

This site contains a series of gullies with sparce growth, a few weeds and some cedar trees, hence the dead zone. The ground is a tan clay with scattered gupsum crystals that take on a snowflake appearance. The teeth have a gray/white look, with some encrusted with gypsum. The area is just south of Lake Texoma, about 4 miles as the crow flies, so it falls into the Upper Eagleford Group, I believe. The teeth L to R top are Cretodus crassidens, Squalicorax falcatus, and a small group of unknown small teeth. The bottom row L to R Ptychodus anonymus and two groups of Cretolamna appendiculata.---Tom

Those are not Lower Cretaceous teeth. I suspect that you were hunting in the Upper Eagleford group.
