Hypoploastron with Bite Marks
Hypoplastron bone of a cretaceous sea turtle with bite marks.
Age: Upper Cretaceous
Frm: Ozan
Location: Lamar Co., TX
Didn't realize what I had until I got home and cleaned it up. The scratches are filled with the native shale and the bone is raised along edges of some of the scratches indicating it happened when the bone was fresh.
