Costacopluma mexicana

Mikrogeophagus

Costacopluma mexicana, South TX

Maastrichtian, Cretaceous

Aug, 2024

An articulated specimen of a delicate crab previously only known from Mexico. Not sure if a specimen of this has been discovered this complete. There is some dispute as to whether it belongs to the families Retroplumidae or Palicidae. This specimen could have some scientific use, so if a researcher is interested feel free to reach out.
