Neozanthopsis americana

Jared C

Neozanthopsis americana, tucked away in a concretion

Middle Eocene

Texas

Originally described by Rathbun 1928 as Harpactocarcinus americanus. The species is described from northern Louisiana and East Texas, both from the Claiborne group, where it seems to be common within it's limited range.
