Cretodus cf. houghtonorum

While not too much like the holotype of Cretodus houghtonorum, this tooth has at least affinities with the houghtonorum/gigantea grade Cretodus, and based on age, C. houghtonorum is given preference. Apart from C. crassidens, I notice there seem to be two different Cretodus morphologies in the Coniacian rocks of Texas. Something I hope is explored in the future, since another species may come out of it.
Also, I feel like Texas is not really known for crazy colors on it's shark teeth, but now and again gems like this will appear.
Length: 44.5 mm (1.752 inches) My biggest Cretodus yet! And my first insitu
