One of my top finds of 2024!
A Canis lupus maxillary jaw section, with four teeth. The teeth, despite the creme to brown color, are actually very well mineralized. I wonder what mineral causes the color of the teeth. The bone is also mineralized. The P4 measures 26.4 mm APL (anterior-posterior length), which indicates that this specimen likely belonged to a larger male.
