HORSE RADIUS
The proximal end of a Pleistocene horse (Equus sp.) radius. In these horses, the ulna is much reduced so that the radius is thick-walled and dense to bear the animal's full weight. Consequently, these bones, the radii, are more often preserved as fossils than are some other bones.
