Tony Eaton Posted March 7, 2010 Great find. I am really curious about this fossil. This looks a bit like a a fossil pearl in "A Field Guide to Fossils of Texas". Is this from the Kamp Ranch FM? Been thinking about cutting open some possible pearls (tried once already on a rock that ended up most likely not being a pear. I would sort of expect concentric circles versus lines radiating from the middle but there is just not much description on these. I know inoceramid clams grow this way so it makes perfect sense that their pearls would too. Link to comment
