Upper Cretaceous Quarry Near Amiens Northern France

I went this morning in a limestone quarry near Amiens where it's possible to find shark tooth and other fossils from the Campanian(Upper Cretaceous)Two hours of hard work but few nice finds :)

Gery.... The shark tooth looks a great specimen... Did you manage to get it out without any damage?... I look forward to seeing it exposed more...

Thanks Steve,the limestone is pretty soft,i will try to use my traditional blades and brushes,and i will pray ^_^

fish vertebrae but i never find a dinosaur part yet,if only i find one, i will spend all my free time digging! ^_^

Nice finds and prepping, Gery! I like the belemnites just as much as the shark teeth, though I suppose the latter are more significant...

You're working in similar aged rock to what we have here on Vancouver Island, but the rock is quite different. I have only ever found two shark teeth locally and I lost one to the inexperience of youth.

I wish we had (more) Paleozoic rocks here on the Island! Let's trade.. ;)
