Hi can anyone tell me what happened, or why this Tyrannosaur tooth looks this way. It looks very odd to me Thank you! it’s from the Judith River formation of Montana, and is 1.2 cm.

Compare with premaxillary teeth in Tyannosaurs...that's what I would guess it is.

Your first photo is hard to see not in focus but looks like a tooth that the mesial side has broken off.  A tyrannosaurid premax tooth would have a D shaped cross section.
