Is this possibly a Meteor?

Hello community,

About 15 years ago I was in the middle of the mexican dessert with my father and found this rock and a friend of him ( that was a hobby meteor searcher) told me that that was a meteor. I think it kinda looks like a possible meteorite that melted when it entered the atmosphere? What do you think? Is it a meteorite or just some other rock/piece of melted metal? And if yes what kind? It is also important to know that it is non magnetic.

Not a meteorite. There's also a difference between "meteor" and "meteorite." The former hasn't hit the ground, the latter has.

yes, the meteor is the light you see in the sky.  The meteorite is the rock that lands on the ground from that meteor.

I agree, this does not look like one.

Do you think that it is something natural? Or humanmade?

Also forgot to say that for its size that thing is super heavy, it feels very unexpected when you pick it up.

It's natural, I think it's a pyrite or marcasite nodule given the visible radiating crystals. Such nodules do feel heavier in the hand, but true iron meteorites are 1. strongly attracted to a magnet, and 2. extremely dense, being roughly 95% iron.

I agree; this looks like something in the hematite / pyrite mineral group.
