and I can't find the receipt.

GE needs to stick with appliances!!

Their Digital Imaging blows!!!

Hi,

I am not a great photographer by any means but on my cheap Fuji Finepix I have a "Flower" setting

designated by a flower icon and that is what I use on fossils. I also have luck taking pictures thru a 2x

magnifying lens from my gemscope. I just hold it and shoot.Usually takes many shots to find the correct distance. I find I cannot tell if the picture is in focus until I load it onto the computor. Your picture looks like so many of mine I encourage you to try several different distances, and lightings, load on your computor and see if you don't hit the right one.

Best regards, Cecelia

Set the camera to its highest setting and take a picture from a decent distance say 18 inches then crop the photo and you should have a nice in focus picture that still has good detail.

Thank you for the advice, I will definately try it.

Sorry GE ~

However I am not exagerating 1 bit when I say this camera sux! <_<

I only get 20 minutes battery usage ~ 2 AA top brands

and possibly 25 to 30 minutes Premium Digital AAs

10 minutes with kodak rechargables.

with my digital I cannot even use standard AA's the camera will literally only take 8 pictures O.o but with rechargeable energizer batteries I get about 200 shots. I would recommend your next camera use a lithium ion type battery.
