I’m planning to head down to Cory’s Lane sometime soon when the weather clears up more, is it worth making the trip down there? If so, tips would be appreciated to find the better fossils! Thanks everyone

Yes, it is worth going to.

You need to excavate/dig to find the good stuff, however.

Make sure to go during the outgoing tide.  PM me for more details.

  • 2 weeks later...

Totally worth it.

In my experience, this time of year, a beautiful mid-60's day like we are expecting makes for tempting hunting weather... However, the slabs are still partially frozen and retaining a lot of moisture.  I have had much better hunts in warmer weather.  Mid-afternoon low tides also help with drying out slabs for splitting.

Happy hunting!
