The tooth has some damage to the bourlette up to the blade. Does this look like it’s from a tool or something during fossilization? It appears to me like it’s old damage but I don’t know from what. sharkdoctor Posted September 30, 2021 Share Posted September 30, 2021 I have a tooth that had a similar crack due to being in a fall along the Chesapeake Bay. It was on a concretion, survived the fall, but the wieght of the fall caused torsion and cracking nearly identical to the one pictured.
