Echinoid Hemicidaris sp. Jurassic Imouger Morocco.

I think this is from Imouzzer du Kandar, near Ifrane where I found several of these and only a half-hour's drive from Fes. :)

The pretty thing a few posts before is a coral, not a bryozoan, but I can't recall which genus at the moment. 1837289145_Brainslug.gif.3e370a9b23879397a2abe159d2a1294d.gif

@Tidgy's Dad  Thanks! At least knowing it's Coral gives me a place to start researching. I still want to come visit Morocco! It's in the planning stages..... :)

And it's still "early enough" on Friday morning for it to be Th'Urchin Thursday, methinks. I've been a little busy.....

  • 2 weeks later...

@grandpa Seems my replies and subsequent posts have been a victim of TFF server problems of the last week! So thank you Grandpa for your concern, I got out of Texas for a few days to cool off (went to Oregon!) but sadly I carried the Texas Heat Wave with me and it was.....108 in Eugene Oregon for our last two days there. Plus wildlfire smoke inundation. So now I am still sun drenched but also smell like I've been in a BBQ Smoker! But I had a great time on the Oregon coast for a day AND got to go see Crater Lake. Am home now and so here's some echinoids for Th'Urchin Thursday!

Ah, my favorite perfume!

Glad you're back.  Sorry you weren't able to escape the heat in Oregon.  That's not a good sign.

Thanks so much for posting Th'Urchin Thursday today!  Beautiful specimens.

And speaking of "beautiful specimens" that's a stunning mermaid siting on the Oregon coast.

Saturday Fossil! Just went to the Witte Museum in San Antonio for our Paleo Society field trip for August (too hot to go fossil hunting! But I did stop at a spot on the way home and scooped up a bag of micro matrix....) and they had a great exhibit on T-Rex Family Tree and Antarctic Dinosaurs.  I don't have any T-Rex or Antarctic Dino stuff, but they did have an Agujaceratops on display from West Texas, which I am happy to say I found one of their little teeth!
