New Members ewest Posted December 12, 2021 New Members Share Posted December 12, 2021 Just interested in the opinions of these Oviraptor Eggs I saw in a gallery They say they are from Nanxiong China, with minimal restoration. They look real to me especially with all the detailing on the shells and they are very heavy. The gallery seems to be reputable but I wanted to see what people on here thought. Troodon
If they are heavy its not a replica which I was concerned about. They are Elongatoolithidae type eggs which are found in the Nanxiong Formation. There may be some composite eggshell (or poorly reattached) but several areas have had shells reattached especially at the ends, evident where there is a coating that has the wet look.
HamptonsDoc
Looks like some composited shell (real shell glued back on, possibly from these eggs or just loose shell found separately) but overall not bad.
