Nimravis
This piece was in a collection that I purchased earlier this year and I just noticed it, but have no clue what it is. I have no information at all on this piece. Any help would be appreciated.
DPS Ammonite
What kind of rock is it? Are there any other fossils that you can show us on the same rock? Did the other fossils in the collection have any preferred localities? My goal is to leave no stone or fossil unturned. Did the other fossils in the collection have any preferred localities? Not really sure what type of rock, all of the side have been cut with a saw. It might be limestone or dolomite, but not sure. There are no other fossils on it and the other items were everything from Mazon Creek to Florida, out to North Dakota and South Dakota- just a wide variety of things. Mark Kmiecik
It's quite intriguing. Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
