New Members GinkgoBiloba Posted January 13, 2022 New Members Share Posted January 13, 2022 Hello all, I found an interesting looking rock while walking along a forest path in mid Devon, and think it could be a fossil of some kind. If someone could give me an idea of what this is, I would be grateful! Please let me know if you need additional photos/information. Apologies if it's just a rock.
New Members GinkgoBiloba Posted January 13, 2022 Author New Members Share Posted January 13, 2022 On further searching I think it's just load casts. I got excited because to me it resembled a paddle of some sort. Classic Pareidolia I guess. Oh well! on the bright side the pond gets a new rock! 2 1
kgbudge
"Just a rock" makes some of us, who are as interested in geology as paleontology, chuckle. Not that I don't understand what you're saying. My Blog
abyssunder
It really looks like a load cast and it could be a nice example. 1 " We are not separate and independent entities, but like links in a chain, and we could not by any means be what we are without those who went before us and showed us the way. Adam86cucv
Still it's a very interesting rock, I would have picked it up and brought it home... unless my kids beat me to it, then they'd bring it home lol
