Mochaccino
Hello, Can anyone help with identifying this supposed crinoid plate? It's from Lyme Regis, Jurassic Coast of UK and measures 95mmx85mm, but no further info. It looks like a mangled mess of arm plates and stem, but I'm not even sure if there's quite any crinoid in there.
TqB
It's a typical piece of Pentacrinites fossilis that occurs in lenses in the Upper Sinemurian there, mostly from the Asteroceras obtusum Subzone. A search of the name will show plenty of examples. Edited February 5, 2022 by TqB 3 Tarquin

Thanks.
Mark Kmiecik
Awesome crinoid plate. I'm liking it. Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
