Hello - new here to the forum - found this on manasota beach in Florida while looking for shark teeth.  Does anyone know what it is?

This is the worn hinge from a shell, possibly from an oyster shell.

I think it might be part of a barnacle.....for reference a couple views of some Sarasota County specimens.
