Brandy Cole
Found what looks to be a partial jaw with root fragments in Southeast Texas the other day. Looks like it would have had two smaller incisors in front with two much bigger teeth to the sides. Then a smaller peg tooth on each side. Boxes on the green mat are square inches. I've looked through all my books and at some different jaws online, but I can't find anything that seems to match the number of incisors and and size difference. Any ideas would be great. Harry Pristis
I'm not sure, Brandy, but compare with this symphysis: 3 http://pristis.wix.com/the-demijohn-page What seest thou else In the dark backward and abysm of time? ---Shakespeare, The Tempest
Brandy Cole
Thanks @Harry Pristis I'll compare it in hand when I get home. I originally discarded tapir because I thought mine didn't have enough incisors, but now that I've seen yours, I think I may have just missed a couple of depressions where they would have been.
