Texas Fossils - Antler? Spike?

Here's another thing I found here in Southeast Texas...I'm wondering if it's an antler or a spike? It's solid as a rock...it has edges and appears to have a single distinct layer line.

My thought is that it is has a pretty pattina and is likely to be a piece of antler as you suggested.  I don’t  think it rib because it is very circular rather than oval

Any thoughts on this? Rib?

That is where I think the shape leads. By shape I'm referring to the layer. It would seem to better represent the original shape of the bone.
