New Members Mando Posted April 12, 2022 New Members Share Posted April 12, 2022 Hello, I'm curious if someone can help with this find. We went to look at the dinosaur footprints in Praia Grande, in Colares Portugal. While at the beach we found this possible fossil. I'm really wondering if someone can confirm if it is a bone? I did the lick test and it did seem to have some stick to it. Thank you for your time!

Troodon
Yes bone. The cliffs on that entire coastline produce lots of Jurassic material which I'm familiar. So, I have to believe Cretaceous deposits further south are probably fossiliferous but not familiar with those deposits.
New Members Mando Posted April 12, 2022 Author New Members Share Posted April 12, 2022 Thanks so much, looking at this map it looks like the cliffs where this was found code for Cretaceous (as you mentioned). Any thoughts on what type of bone? I've done some searching but I'm having trouble. Hoping someone familiar with this location will chime in here!
