Your specimen, as mentioned, is not a turtle but a septarian concretion. Google it and check the images. They come in hundreds of flavors. Unfortunately, yours is not one of the glamorous/expensive ones. There are probably more where you found that one. Yours appears to be iron siderite, a very common and inexpensive variety. Mark.
