How do I know how old this petrified turtle is and how do I sell it?

Topic moved to Fossil ID.

This is likely a septarian concretion. As per Forum rules that all members read and agree to upon registering, we do not provide valuations. In addition, the selling of fossils on the forum is a delayed permission granted after a member has contributed a number of substantive posts.

I do apologize.

No need for apology. He's just letting you know how the forum works. Your specimen, as mentioned, is not a turtle but a septarian concretion. Google it and check the images. They come in hundreds of flavors. Unfortunately, yours is not one of the glamorous/expensive ones. There are probably more where you found that one. Yours appears to be iron siderite, a very common and inexpensive variety.

Mark.

Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
