Toe and an unsure bone area but think might be finger or toe. Input?

Interesting pieces I found not sure on other piece but would guess either arm, leg, toe, or finger.  The toe piece is 7 centimeters long.  The other piece is 2 inches long.  The toe part is cool for I think the creature stubbed his toe a little to hard .   These were both found in glacial till in northern Pennsylvania.   Any idea on toe specie and other piece what part of area?  Thanks.

Hi, i'm sorry but they look like stone to me.

I'm often wrong those times, so, wait for other's opinion.

Both are bone.  The area has a heavy iron coating layer on the rocks and other material.  Even regular quartz is black or brown there when they are white.  I call it the curse of the iron.  I don't know how to clean the one piece for it's fragile.

Better focused, better lit images might support the assertion they are bone.  The current photos show rocks with some porosity.

I go over it light with a toothbrush to get better color and detail out.  I'll take better pic of toe to show what stood out to me that made me think toe.

I too am in the non bone camp.  It is not really about color it is about shape and texture.  That said I recommend taking these items to a museum or university paleontologist to have an expert look in person and allow you to compare your finds with acknowledged fossil toe bones. Fossil clubs also often have  people with real local knowledge.

Other piece broke oops.  But this piece was able to take pictures for it's still whole.

Still doesn't look like bone to me.
More like chert or quartzite.

the  broken piece will be especially important in establishing if it is bone[[often those areas show cortex and trabecular bone most clearly.  when in doubt I have often cut a piece to look at it.

I don't really collect bone but trying to learn on old bone material in case I come across some.  Then I know what to pick up.  Thanks for clearing that up all.
