New Members jjccpink Posted June 15, 2022 New Members Share Posted June 15, 2022 Hi, I found these teeth several years ago on a beach near Venice, Florida. At the time, I didn’t notice the one with what appears to be a primitive type carving on it. I do not normally hunt nor collect shark teeth so any expert opinions would be great appreciated:)
Carl
If you mean the roughly square one on the bottom, that is a very weathered ray tooth. 2
New Members jjccpink Posted June 15, 2022 Author New Members Share Posted June 15, 2022 Wow, the ‘design’ looks so unnatural. But good to know. Thanks!

The pattern is what is inside the tooth, as if you cut part of it off, or ground it down. Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
