trilospain
I would like to know your opinion about this peronopsis. I have it labeled like Peronopsis sp from Utah. Size = 10 mm. Not more information. I do have another peronopsis (interstricta) but it's black and looks like different. I don't have too much knowledge about USA Cambrian trilobites although they are very nice. Any help will be grateful Thanks you in advance
txemiku
Hello my friend, I have been checking your image and comparing to the images of different types of peronopsis from utah. I suggest the following: Name: Peronopsis interstricta Locality: Wheeler Amphitheatre, House Range, Millard Co., Utah Stratigraphy: Wheeler Shale Fm., Middle Cambrian To see more visit this site: http://www.westernta.com/WTA.htm Saludos
ebrocklds
i agree with P. interstricta. it looks like it from the red, Marjum shale formation however. there are a few types of agnostids from that formation, Ptychagnostus cuyanas ans Ptychagnostus michaelinei (sp?) but yours is not either of those. westernta is a great reference for many trilos but keep in mind there are a few errors on the page.
