Guest bmorefossil Posted August 12, 2007 Share Posted August 12, 2007 i have a few recent finds that look like crabs and lobsters, and from what i have seen in my books and online they just may be, do any of you have some that i may use to compare to my finds. jkfoam Posted August 13, 2007 Share Posted August 13, 2007 BMorefossil, I'm assuming your finds come from the Chesapeak area so they are probably Miocene age. Crabs and lobsters have changed little in appearence in the cenozoic. If what you found look like crabs and lobsters then that is what they are. I've got some Eocene crabs and I'll post pictures tomorrow. My Eocene crab doesn't look that much different from a modern crab. All of my crabs are from the Cretaceous of TX (Pawpaw, Britton, and Corsicana formations) as well as Paleocene (Wills Point fm). I'd like to see your pictures. 1 Grüße, Daniel A.
