New Members Rohdefamily Posted September 9, 2022 New Members Share Posted September 9, 2022 Hey all, new here so sorry if this isn’t the way to do this…is anyone able to help identify what animal this may have come from. It was found on a small portion of beach below a cliff with a lot of erosion in WNY south of Buffalo. Not sure if it came from soil or lake…either way it seems on the heavier side and I’m thinking it might be a phalange from a deer figured I’d see if anyone could help confirm or come up with a different ID

Meganeura
Don't quote me on this cause I can't find an actual size - but if it's not a big deer (And that seems much too big for a deer) - I was thinking Moose. Same shaped medial phalanx - and they look to be in the 2.5"/60mm size range. Also the area is right. Edited September 9, 2022 by Meganeura 1 Fossils? I dig it.
