DardS8Br
Are there any Santa Margarita fm fossil sites that are still open/able to be collected from in and around the SF Bay Area? I want to try and hunt from the formation but all the classic sites, like bean creek, are now closed for collecting. Edited September 9, 2022 by DardS8Br Clarified location since the formation is pretty expansive

JohnJ
Publishing hunting locations online (that are not fossil parks or very well publicized sites) is the best way to have them exploited and/or closed to collecting. Treating them with discretion is good stewardship. Consider making your inquiries privately. 2 The human mind has the ability to believe anything is true. - JJ
