Id For Carcharinus Spp. Teeth

Hi all, I was just wondering if any of you know what species of shark these three teeth cam from. They all came from the Bone Valley in 2003.

I was debating with myself if they were either Carcharinus leucas, or Carcharinus obscurus, but I can't get it. It might also be another carcharinus species.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Daniel

Grays (or Requiems) are tough. I think you have C. leucas (Bull) teeth here. How big are these teeth?

Sorry, I forgot to put measurements.

The first(according to the pictures) is 1.9 cm in height, and 2.1 cm in length

The second is 1.9 cm in height, and 2.4 cm in length

The third is 1.9 cm in height, and 2.3 cm in length

This link should help explain the differences somewhat. I agree that requiem/gray sharks can be nasty to ID, but your teeth, I'm 99% sure, are Bull shark (C.leucas). I don't think I've ever heard of Dusky's coming from Bone Valley.

Thanks Northern Sharks, I'll relable them C. leucas then. I see the similarities now.
