FranzBernhard Posted October 3, 2022 Share Posted October 3, 2022 (edited) Its a crinoidal limestone, I can see plenty crinoid bits in some pics. The rock could be black itself or there is some heavy staining, giving it a black to reddish color. Some iron or manganese minerals in some pockets or layers of the rock also can not be excluded.
