I got this fossil slab at a yard sale and it looks to be of 2 fish.   On the back it says “Anigbbia?” Sp. as if it’s not spelled correctly and then “55,000,000 yrs old

 

Any information on this fossil would be appreciated.  Thank you!

I think it should say Knightia which is a type of Herring, I think this is likely to be from The Green River formation in Wyoming and is around the 55 million years old mark

Probably "A Knightia?" with questionable spelling. The age matches the Eocene Green River Formation where these fish are quite common. Though it is difficult to tell from the dark photos (photos are best taken outside in sunlight) this appears possibly to be from the 18-inch layer which often results in nice preservation. The bones look a bit disarticulated so this specimen might have decomposed a bit before being buried with sediment.
