Hi Guys,

I've recently got this bone that I'm informed came from Morocco.

If possible could anyone give me an idea as to what it came from.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

It's 55cm long and 9cm across.

I'm no expert in Dinosaur morphology or skeletal structure, let alone the specific qualities of Moroccan dinosaur fossils, but I can offer a few tips from a novice. Double check that the bone is completely permineralized (rock, not bone). If it is, you can take a closer look at the broken cross-section. If the bone is largely hollow or filled with sediment or crystals, it could be from a theropod, as those generally had more hollow bones.

Hi,

The bone is definitely completely rock.

It's hollow but goes solid down on the end that is more flattened.

It's a bit crushed in on the more flattened end so it's a bit difficult to ascertain as to whether it was originally hollow all the way through.
