West4me
I was wondering if there is anyone in Missouri that would like to meet up and maybe walk me through material removal and prep of local fossils? I am more of a learn by seeing and doing type person and would really like to meet some people in the area at the same time. "You have to listen. It is under the rocks." Phoenixflood
If you're headed to the eastern part of the state, give me a pm. I googled fossil clubs in Missouri, and found the The Eastern Missouri Society for Paleontology They may be able to help if there is no one close enough to you. West4me
Thanks for the Google work. I hate to admit it but I didn't even do a search myself. "You have to listen. It is under the rocks."

Phoenixflood
Thanks for the Google work. I hate to admit it but I didn't even do a search myself. No worries I used Missouri fossil club as my keywords. Most people do not know that there are clubs out there so you may have not even have know to use that as a keyword See, I just got something totally different when I entered rock in place of the word fossil. http://www.rockhounds.com/rockshop/clubs/missouri.shtml We all start somewhere Some keywords are: club, group, event, fossil (hunting), gem, mineral, lapidary, rock, and then add an (s) to these most of these words. glacialerratic
I wish I could! Spent 6 years in Columbia, 5 at Mizzou. Great town, great fossil huntings, and I sure do miss the caves... Tim
