Very nice finds and the museum is amazing. The area is very much on my “ to do” list…..

I have to agree with @taj, if you want to visit, just go ASAP as it is truly an amazing location for fossils.

Unfortunately the searching for fossils here will be banned from 2023.
Here is a topic on.

The ban is the reason why I was so eager to join the excursion this year as it was probably my last chance and I am glad that I did although I am also very saddened that it was both my first and last time as I enjoyed the location a lot.

I know very well the area, hunting fossils here since  2008 ... wife has some family property close by (and I spent 3 years in Caen  in the early 90', the heydays of Normandy fossils , but at that time I was no more active on the ground ...)  I  have 4-5 days scheduled at Villers mid december ( final visit ? unless administrative constraints push the publication of the decree pas 2023 summer holydays) . After that , I will shift to the other side of the Seine river , but the guys promoting the ban at Villers are actively promoting the next step , i.e ban on the Seine Maritime coast too....

Same here, but I don't have my own transport right now. Besides, the month has already become quite full... I just hope that there'll be another opportunity before the coming summer
