Fossildude19
Thanks for the tag, @Darktooth Dave! These fish are both Dastilbe crandalli, from the Santana group in Brazil. 6 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 IPFOTM -- MAY - 2024 _________________________________________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." marguy
Thank you very much, @Fossildude19, I had thought of these fish from Brazil, but the difference in color made me doubt my idea.

My pleasure. There are a number of fish bearing formations in the Santana group. The color and preservation difference is easily explained by this. You made a great addition to your collection, as these are large specimens and nicely preserved. Congratulations on the bargain additions to your collection. 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 IPFOTM -- MAY - 2024 _________________________________________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks."
