SilurianSalamander
Found in the side of a building in Wisconsin, Cambrian-Devonian rocks here. Any ideas? Thinking bivalves or a bivalved arthropod. Sorry for the lack of scale! Each one is about the size of an apple seed

ClearLake
I think it’s possible that they could be large ostracods, but with that preservation it’s going to be hard to be too confident. That’s my 2 cents.
Rockwood
It would be hard to rule out small bivalve mollusks, but ostracod is what comes to my mind first.
Fossildude19
Could also be sedimentary structures, or artifacts of breakage/spalling. I don't think any positive ID is possible, given the lack of detail. 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 IPFOTM -- MAY - 2024 _________________________________________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." The only thing that pushed me a bit more towards the ostracod interp. was the negative impression just above and right of center. If there were small pebbles in there, I could see it being the impression of one of those, but in this dense, dolomitic looking rock it made me lean more toward ostracod (or small bivalve) impression. Again, I agree nothing is certain and with some other evidence I could be swayed pretty easily.
