Hollow cetacean tooth?

From the Calvert formation in VA. The shape of this specimen suggests cetacean tooth, but the hollow tip and keratinous feel make me doubt it.

The hollow tip might be the root end of the tooth.

The texture looks funny but photos can be deceiving  you might want  to take it somewhere  stratford hall  has some experienced paleontologists on staff, calvert marine museum likewise.
